Jets in Space

Well, jet engines don’t work in space but you knew that. But this is actually raw unprocessed ultra cool images from the Cassini spacecraft’s flyby of Titan.

These are jets of ice on Enceladus, a moon of Saturn, perhaps from liquid water or other process under the surface. That’s what Cassini is trying to find out. Nobody had any idea Enceladus had anything like this. That’s why we explore. We really have almost no idea what’s out there.
